Affordable Rental Housing Regulated by DPP
The Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) regulates affordable housing units built as part of market-driven developments (as opposed to government-planned and -funded housing). In some cases DPP requires affordable housing as part of a private project. In others, DPP offers financial incentives and relaxes rules to encourage developers to voluntarily produce affordable units.
