Kevin Auger, Executive Director

Executive Director Kevin Auger is a seasoned real estate professional with nearly four decades of experience in housing development, commercial real estate investment banking, and cross-sector leadership. As the executive director of the City and County of Honolulu’s Office of Housing, Kevin spearheads efforts to address Oʻahu’s housing crisis by leading strategic initiatives to expand the acquisition, development, and preservation of affordable housing. He also oversees the City’s Affordable Housing Working Group, collaborating with stakeholders to increase housing opportunities for all residents.

Kevin joined the Office of Housing as deputy director in July 2023, bringing a wealth of global expertise. Before his time with the City, he served as Redevelopment Officer for the Hawaiʻi Public Housing Authority, where he advanced efforts to modernize public housing. His extensive international career includes seven years in Hong Kong as managing director of Wells Fargo Corporation’s Asian real estate operations and another seven years in South Korea managing North Asian real estate investments for Lehman Brothers.

Kevin’s commitment to creating sustainable, affordable communities reflects his dedication to ensuring that Oʻahu remains a vibrant and accessible place to live, work, and thrive.
