In 2020, Hawaii began a Vote By Mail election system. Traditional Election Day polling places are no longer available.

ELECTIONS CONDUCTED IN HAWAII
Hawaii holds combined federal, state, and local elections in even numbered years. The City and County of Honolulu holds special elections on an as needed basis to fill vacancies pursuant to law. Hawaii does not conduct a presidential preference primary election.
