Limited edition HOLO cards available for purchase at the Great Aloha Run packet pick-up

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services (DTS) announces extended operating hours for the Skyline rail system, to accommodate the 40th Hawaiʻi Pacific Health Great Aloha Run (GAR), on Monday, February 19.

Unlike previous hours of operations extensions, Skyline will begin operations at 3:30 a.m. (weekends and holidays open at 8 a.m.), allowing west side GAR participants a chance to get to the starting line without having to worry about driving and finding parking. Skyline riders will be taken to the Hālawa Aloha Stadium Skyline station, where they can catch a shuttle to take them to the starting line of the GAR at Aloha Tower. Once they complete the run to Aloha Stadium, participants can take Skyline back west from there.

The following stations will be open for riders and participants at 3:25 a.m. on Monday, February 19:

  • Keoneʻae UH West Oʻahu Skyline Station
  • Honouliuli Hoʻopili Skyline Station
  • Hōʻaeʻae West Loch Skyline Station
  • Hālawa Aloha Stadium Skyline Station (riders will get off here)

Train departure times at these stations can be found here:

  • Keoneʻae UH West Oʻahu Skyline Station (304 stalls)
  • Honouliuli Hoʻopili Skyline Station (344 stalls)
  • Hōʻaeʻae West Loch Skyline Station (21 stalls)

All other Skyline stations will open at 5 a.m., and will resume normal operations for the day.

As the City is a co-sponsor of the GAR, limited edition HOLO cards will be made available at packet pickup for participants at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center on Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18. The HOLO cards can be purchased at the HOLO event booth that will be there both days. Quantity is very limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. One card can be purchased per participant. Regular HOLO card prints with a one-day pass will also be available for purchase.
