Darrell Edelhoff, Dept. of Community Services

Darrell Edelhoff is a community services specialist with the City’s Elderly Affairs Division. His passion for helping others is inspiring and in this week’s employee profile, he explains his role in not just finding housing for our aging neighbors but making sure they stay housed.

All year long, we’ll be featuring some of the hard-working men and women who have helped Forbes distinguish the City & County of Honolulu among America’s Best Employers by state for the third year in a row.

The Elderly Affairs Division is the designated Area Agency on Aging in Honolulu and serves as the Aging and Disability Resource Center. Its objective is to develop a comprehensive and coordinated system of services to assist older persons in leading independent, meaningful and dignified lives in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.
