I. CALL TO ORDER [0:00:00]: Chair Leialoha Tumbaga called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Quorum was not established with 4 members present. (Note: This 9-member Board requires 5 members to establish quorum and to take official Board action.) Board members must be in-person or have video access.
Board Members Present: Leialoha Tumbaga, Alan Kumalae, Randy Franklin, Chris Lualemaga, and Michael Gatti (7:18 p.m.).
Board Members Absent: Chester Koga, Simeon Rojas, and Hernando Tan.

III. FILLING OF VACANCIES [0:21:53]: Chair Tumbaga called for nominations to fill the one At-Large vacancy. Franklin nominated Jackie Nelson Ujano-Bayden. Jackie provided a brief introduction. Gatti nominated Melba Amaral. Melba provided a brief introduction. This item was postponed to verify residency.

Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s Representative [0:48:54]: Bandmaster Clarke Bright provided the newsletter and highlighted the following: City lifeguards and firefighters brave massive waves to compete in ‘The Eddie’, The City and County of Honolulu announces a new landfill site on O‘ahu, Mayor Blangiardi honors Councilmember Calvin Say, who is retiring after nearly five decades of public service, The 40th Honolulu City Lights celebration wraps up as thousands enjoy the displays, The City wins a $2 million grant for affordable housing development in Iwilei, and responded to concerns from the previous meeting.

Chair’s Report: Board Member Attendance and Responsibility to the Community – Chair Tumbaga encouraged the board members to finish the term strong by attending the last four meetings.
