She spoke of McCully-Mōʻiliʻili residents’ active engagement on the Ala Wai watershed area and McCully bridge projects, and with respect to the City Council’s examining of Bill 24 and proposed amendments that may increase density. House District 22: Representative Andrew Garrett – [1:57:11]: Takemi Nakasone, Office Manager for Representative Andrew Garrett, reported the following, including: Representative Garrett’s assignment as Chair of the Committee on Higher Education; reaching out to their office with ideas for bills for the upcoming session; they are hiring a Legislative Aide and primary liaison to the board; and the 2025 session will be focused on addressing the high cost of living in Hawaiʻi—they will provide an overview of some bills they are drafting at the next board meeting in February 2025. Community Fire Wise Plan – [2:07:17]: Resident Dave Chun asked the board if there is any interest in developing a community fire wise plan, explained and provided background information, and offered to assist, including by doing some research and writing.
Request for Government Officials or Their Representatives Attending Board Meetings Online – [2:08:45]: Resident Allison Pettersson requested government officials or their representatives who attend the board meetings online to turn on their video while they are speaking.

Kapahulu-Mōʻiliʻili Christmas Parade by Kapahulu-Mōʻiliʻili Lions Club – [2:09:26]: Chair Lee announced the parade the next week, which she said the board agreed it would participate.
