City and County of Honolulu named to Forbes America’s Best Employers 2024 list

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu proudly announces its prestigious placement on the esteemed Forbes list of America’s Best Employers 2024. This remarkable achievement, bestowed by Forbes in collaboration with Statista Inc., marks a significant milestone in the city’s commitment to fostering an exceptional work environment.

The Forbes list of America’s Best Employers 2024 stems from an independent survey that surveyed over 170,000 U.S. employees from companies with a minimum of 1,000 employees nationwide. The evaluation process includes employee personal assessments and public feedback from friends, family, and industry peers.

The City and County of Honolulu’s exceptional performance in these evaluations underscores its position as a top employer in the nation, ranking #296 out of 600 businesses and #10 for government services.

The distinction is particularly notable as it distinguishes organizations across two categories: “Mid-sized” organizations, employing between 1,000 and 5,000 individuals, and “Large” sized organizations, employing more than 5,000 individuals. The City and County of Honolulu employs more than 10,000 full and part-time employees.
