a. Review and Discuss the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Paakea and other WCEAR Roadways for Needed Additions, Modifications, Deletions.
b. Review and Discuss Second Access-Parallel Road to Connect Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead roads et.al. Haleakala Avenue and Nanakuli Avenue or another alternative route to Westbound Lualualei Naval Road and Eastbound to Series 7 and Umena Street (Camp Palehua in Makakilo),
c. Discuss Warning Signage to be installed on H-1 in Waipahu Westbound and Before Honokai Hale Westbound. Discuss hook up of Warning Signage to Traffic Cameras on Farrington Highway within 96792 for the Capability to Warn Drivers of Traffic Accidents & Incidents, there Locations and Time of Occurrences. Inquire with HECO if they have Camera on Light Poles on Farrington Highway.
d. Discuss Traffic Cameras ability to Sync Traffic Lights to Better Manage Traffic on Farrington Highway in 96792.
e. Review and Discuss Current Contraflow Coning System and Why Third Lane No Longer Begins Westbound at Piliokahe Street and the Details of the Contraflow and its Funding.
V. FUTURE BUSINESS
a. Any Undiscussed New Business Agenda Items (Deferred) Due to Expiration of Meeting Time.
b. Bus Stop Infrastructure in 96792 Bus Routes, i.e Waiting Area for Bus Riders (Safe or Unsafe, Cemented or Uncemented, Wheelchair safe or otherwise, Sheltered or Unsheltered, Lighted Area or otherwise)
c. Discuss and Review Future Repairs of Ulehawa Canal Bridge and Possible Traffic Routes (East and Westbound) when it’s Shutdown for Bridge Repairs
d. Review and Discuss Pending and Future HDOT Projects Planned for Farrington Highway in 96792, i.e. Speed Bumps, Turn Lanes, Road Widening, Under Road Utility Installations (Digging Up Farrington Highway) and Proper Road Plate Installations to Eliminate Tire Damage, etc.
VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. The next regular scheduled Transportation Committee meeting will be Held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Nanakuli Library, at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
b. The Housing-Zoning Committee to commence at 7:30 pm, following this Transportation Committee Meeting’s adjournment
