Quorum was established with six (6) members present. Note – This 11-member Board requires six (6) members to establish a quorum and take official Board action.

Tuesday, July 1, 2025 proposed new increase in sewer charges/fees takes effect.

Selection of Koʻolauloa NB delegate to the Kahuku Community Fund Committee – [2:12:00]: Member Unga provided information about the Kahuku Community Fund Committee and is asking for the Koʻolauloa Neighborhood board’s support in having Member Pasi be a member of the committee.
[2:13:34] – Unga nominated Atalina Pasi to be a delegate to the Kahuku Community Funding Committee. Hearing no objections, the motion WAS ADOPTED; 9-0-0 (AYE: Avegalio, Epp, Greer, Kelly-Paddock, Matagi, Pasi, Carlson, Meatoga, and Unga; NAY: None; ABSTAIN: None) – [2:13:40].

Department of Planning and Permitting Turtle Bay Unilateral Agreement – [2:13:52]: Postponed to next month’s meeting.

Digital Award – [2:14:04]: Member Kelly-Paddock announced that Hui O Hauula was recognized by the City Mayor For the Digital Equity Award.
Breakfast announcement – [2:14:43]: Member Kelly-Paddock announced that Native Americans from Louisiana will be attending their Friday, October 11, 2024 breakfasts.
Emergency Preparedness – [ 2:15:44]: Member Kelly-Paddock announced a special training for Kapuna regarding emergency preparedness on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Search Training Session – [2:16:53]: Member Kelly-Paddock announced third search training session on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Diamond Head.
November Breakfast – [2:17:44]: Member Kelly-Paddock announced Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke will be attending the November breakfast.
Starlink meeting – [2:18:13]: Member Kelly-Paddock announced a Starlink meeting on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Kailua Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – [2:19:36]: Member Carlson announced that on Saturday November 2, 2024 a Kailua CERT exercise at Christ Church Uniting at 1300 Kailua Road from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Kahuku District Park Recreation Center Meeting – [2:20:51]: Member Unga announced that the September 26, 2024 planning and design meeting for the Kahuku District Park Recreation Center had a great turn out and the second meeting is on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
VII. PUBLIC INPUT/COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS – [2:22:33]
Turtle Bay Triathlon – [2:22:43]: Race Director Williams came to the meeting asking for the Neighborhood Blessing for another triathlon at Turtle Bay and asked for feedback and concerns.
Land Restoration – [2:25:07]: Resident Farrant from the North Shore Community Land Trust asked for residents who have ties with the Waialeʻes Training School for Boys and will be hosting a workshop on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Tutuʻs Treasure Thrift Shop – [2:26:59]: Resident Siroskey announced that Tutuʻs Treasures Thrift Shop is having a three day sale on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hauula Community Center.
