HONOLULU – About 25 seats are still available for the free wastewater tour given by the Department of Environmental Services Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The sign up is first-come, first-served, and the public must make a reservation by either calling (808) 768-3454 or emailing ENV@honolulu.gov by 10:00 a.m. November 15 to reserve a seat.
The preregistered public is to meet at Kapolei Hale, 1000 Uluohia Street, by 8:00 a.m.
The bus departs at exactly 8:15 a.m. for stops at Kapolei Business Park Wastewater Pump Station, Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant, before returning at Kapolei Hale.
Participants are advised to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hats, long shirts, long pants, and covered shoes.
