HONOLULU – The Department of Environmental Services is offering the public a free wastewater tour Nov. 16, 2024, a Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The preregistered public is to meet at Kapolei Hale, 1000 Uluohia Street, by 8:00 a.m.
The bus departs at exactly 8:15 a.m. for stops at Kapolei Business Park Wastewater Pump Station, Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant, before returning at Kapolei Hale.
The sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis, and the public must make a reservations by either calling (808) 768-3454 or emailing ENV@honolulu.gov by November 14 to reserve a seat. The bus holds approximately 50 people.
Participants are advised to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hats, long shirts, long pants, and covered shoes.
