Lanikai parking restrictions implemented for Labor Day weekend
KAILUA – The City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services (DTS) will be restricting parking in Lanikai between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, August 31 to Monday, September 2, in an effort to reduce traffic congestion for residents along the Lanikai-Kaʻōhao shoreline during the Labor Day 3-day weekend.
No parking will be allowed on all streets and shoulders of Mokulua and ʻAʻalapapa Drives in Lanikai starting August 31st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until September 2nd.
Parking will also be restricted on cross-streets connecting Mokulua and ʻAʻalapapa Drives.
DTS will leave in place temporary “sawhorse” type signs on affected streets in Lanikai to warn drivers of the parking restrictions.
