Job Summary

The Department of Land Management (DLM) of the City and County of Honolulu is seeking a Land Agent for its Asset Development Division. This position involves responsible and professional work in recommending, reviewing, and negotiating real property transactions for the City. This includes, but is not limited to, acquisitions, dispositions, easements, rights‐of‐entry; inter/intra‐departmental use memoranda; licenses, leases, concessions, and dedications of real property interests to the city.

Duties

  • Prepare and review documentation for real property transactions, including drafting purchase and sale agreements, letters of interest, grants of easements, rights‐of‐entry; inter/intra‐departmental use memoranda; licenses, leases, concessions, and other documents affecting real property interests of the city.
  • Perform due diligence activities to determine feasibility, which includes (but is not limited to) reviewing land appraisals, project financial assessments, title reports, ALTA surveys, geological surveys, property condition surveys, environmental condition studies, civil engineering plans, architectural renderings and floor plans, project budgets and pro formas, schedules, and other related project documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate real property transactions with other departments/agencies, contractors/consultants, and other related parties

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $54,984.00 – $75,252.00 per year
