INTRODUCTION

The City’s Equal Opportunity Program provides leadership and guidance in areas of civil rights and equal opportunity, develops anti-discrimination programs and policies, and enhances awareness through education and training.

 

The EO Program accomplishes its mission through three core functions:

      • Monitoring Compliance
      • Processing Complaints
      • Championing Civil Rights

The EO program operates under the authority of the managing director and functions with the greatest degree of independence. The positions in the EO Office are administratively assigned to the Human Resources Department for operational flexibility.
