Traffic Advisory: City to begin Māpunapuna Street drainage system cleaning and inspection

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) will begin drainage system cleaning and inspection work along Māpunapuna Street starting the week of March 4, 2024. The work will take place between ‘Awa‘awaloa Street to Kilihau Street and is expected to be completed around April 30, 2024.

 

Normal cleaning and inspection work hours will be from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please note that construction crews and equipment will be utilizing various street parking spots in the project area.

The City asks that motorists and pedestrians anticipate delays while navigating through the area and to allow extra travel time during work hours. Please observe all traffic controls and posted signs.
