O‘AHU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is advising the public that a curb ramp project at various locations on O‘ahu will begin on January 16, 2024. The work is expected to be completed by the end of July 2024. Work is expected to run on weekdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays.

The project includes, but is not limited to, the demolition, removal and disposal of existing pavements, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and curb ramps; construction of new sidewalks, curb ramps, and curb and gutters; reconstructing of pavement transitions; adjustment of utility box frames and covers; and restoration of all pavement striping.

Pedestrians and motorists are advised to proceed with caution, observe all traffic control devices and no parking signs. Please use extreme caution in these areas or use alternate routes. Please observe and obey all traffic controls, posted signs and Special Duty Officers. Drivers should anticipate delays and allow extra travel time while traveling through the work area.

Ala Oli St. & Salt Lake Blvd.

Kalihi:

Pua Ln. & North King St.

Downtown Honolulu:

Coral St. & Emily St.

Makiki:

Young St. & Pensacola St.

Young St. & Piikoi St.

Ke‘eaumoku St. & S. Beretania St.

Mōʻiliʻili:

Punahou St. & Young St.

Mānoa:

Varsity Pl. & University Ave

S. King St. & University Ave.

Kāhala:         

Kīlauea Ave. & Pueo St.

Kailua:

Hahani St. & Hamakua Dr.
