The City and County of Honolulu has almost 3.5 miles of protected bike lanes for residents to make their way around the island’s urban core on a bike.\u00a0 Biking enthusiasts on Oahu have benefitted from protected bike lanes designed to ensure that cyclists can enjoy safer rides on their commute or biking excursions.\u00a0 With the city planning to expand biking opportunities by adding a bike lane on more roads, here\u2019s what you need to know about registering your bike with the City and County of Honolulu:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t [Title 15 USC Section 2085, Definition: For the purpose of this section, the term “low-speed electric\u00a0<\/em>bicycle” means a two- or three-wheeled vehicle with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less\u00a0<\/em>than 750 watts (1 h.p.), whose maximum speed on a paved level surface, when powered solely by such a\u00a0<\/em>motor vehicle ridden by an operator who weighs 170 pounds, is less than 20 mph.<\/em>]<\/p> Proof of Ownership:<\/p> Affidavit of Ownership<\/p><\/li><\/ul> Registration Form (available at any\u00a0Satellite City Hall<\/a><\/strong>) requires information on the bicycle: make, year, color, serial number, body type, number of speeds, and wheel size.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Bicycles can be registered or transferred by AlohaQ appointment<\/a><\/strong> at
