Koko Head Lions Club to patch sidewalks in Niu Valley

HONOLULU – On Saturday, July 20, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., members of the Koko Head Lions Club will inspect and patch concrete sidewalk hazards, as part of the District 50 Lions’ Safe Sidewalks initiative. Work will be performed along Halemaʻumaʻu Street, starting from Mahimahi Street and moving in the mauka direction. Coordination for this project is by the City’s Mālama O Ka ‘Āina community volunteer program, which is administered by the Department of Facility Maintenance, Division of Road Maintenance (DRM).
The City is indebted to the members of the Koko Head Lions Club for their time and resources. These volunteers provide a much-needed service to the City, by assisting to create a safer and pleasant experience for the many people who frequently use the City sidewalks.
