Central Oʻahu
Overview
The City and County of Honolulu has several ongoing complete Streets improvements in the works for the Kunia, Waipiʻo, Mililani, and Wahiawā neighborhoods. Upcoming improvements include new walkways along Kilani and California avenues and edge-of-lane line improvements in Mililani. These projects will contribute to create a network of streets that are safe and convenient for all people, whether they are traveling by foot, bicycle, transit, or ride-share, and regardless of age or ability.

Walkway Improvements
- California Avenue (ʻOhai Street to Karsten Drive)
- Kilani Avenue (Kaliponi Street to Māhele Street)
Mililani
Mililani Mauka Improvements
The City will be constructing edge-of-lane/parking lines and striped curb extension improvements on Lehiwa Drive, Mākaʻikaʻi Street, and Kaʻapeha Street as part of an upcoming roadway repaving project. Additionally, new curb ramps and a new marked crosswalk at the trail crossing of Mākaʻikaʻi Street will be installed. Project will begin in 2024.
