Distinguishing Characteristics:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Park Ranger I position was created for the Department of Parks and Recreation\u2019s Park Ranger Assessment Project. Under the supervision of the Park Ranger II, the Park Ranger I is primarily responsible for gathering information on various unauthorized commercial activities and educates patrons on rules and regulations to help promote security and safety in the parks.<\/p>\n

This position does not possess any enforcement authority and is largely focused on information gathering and research which serves to gather information essential for the development of a complete park ranger program.<\/p>\n
