This position receives practical training in performing simple and routine data systems analyst work in the Database Management Section. Under direct supervision of a senior analyst, this position receives specific and detailed instructions for observing and assisting with the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Board of Water Supply (BWS) databases and infrastructure.

Minimum Qualification Requirements: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge of:  research methods and techniques; report writing, problem solving methods and techniques; general principles of government organization and functions.

Ability to:  learn and apply basic principles, concepts, and work processes fundamental to the professional work to be performed; learn and utilize laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and reference materials fundamental to the specialty area; obtain, analyze, and evaluate facts; successfully complete assignments selected to develop the employee for the higher level work; formulate ideas and express them clearly and concisely orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
