The primary responsibility of this position is the processing of credit card payments and providing basic customer assistance. The position also performs a variety of routine clerical work. Assists customers via telephone with requests to pay bills by credit card. Collects transaction information from the customer and inputs it into credit card transaction terminal. Discusses alternative payment methods and channels available to the customer. Takes messages for overflow of phone calls and routes calls to appropriate divisions/staff. Provides basic account information such as balances, billing dates, payment due dates, historical transaction information to customers. The position also performs a variety of routine clerical work.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school, including or supplemented by course work in typing, and one (1) year of clerical experience which shall have included some typing.
Special Work Requirements:
Ability to type 40 wpm. Regular and punctual attendance is required to serve customers during established hours of business
